Tech support has changed. The need for TechDad hasn't.
TechDad started in 2013 with a simple idea: technology shouldn't be so hard.
Back then, we provided hands-on personal tech support — helping people set up computers and devices, troubleshoot problems, stay connected, and learn how to use the technology that was becoming part of everyday life.
A lot has changed since then. Phones got smarter. TVs became computers. Every appliance got an app. Passwords multiplied. Scams got harder to spot.
And somewhere along the way, adult children became the unofficial family tech support department.
Parents deserve patient, judgment-free help with the technology they use every day. And their kids deserve a break from explaining the same thing for the fourth time and feeling guilty when their patience runs out.
TechDad is built to make life a little easier on both sides of that conversation.
Meet TechDad.ai
TechDad.ai gives families a smarter way to handle everyday technology questions.
Unlike a generic chatbot, TechDad can learn the technology your parent actually uses — their devices, providers, apps, and comfort level — so the help they receive is specific to their real setup. They can use TechDad to troubleshoot a device, figure out how something works, check a suspicious message for signs of a scam, and get personalized recommendations.
And because family members can stay connected to the same profile, you can still jump in when Mom or Dad needs you.
The goal isn't to replace family tech support. It's to make it a whole lot easier.
Sometimes you still need a human.
AI can answer a lot of questions. Some problems need a little more hands-on help.
TechDad also provides personal technology support for computers and everyday consumer electronics, including device setup, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair support.
And if the problem isn't fixing the technology but figuring out how to use it, we provide patient, one-on-one technology guidance and training — from computers, smartphones, and tablets to the internet, apps, connected devices, and other everyday tech.
No jargon. No making anyone feel stupid. Just help that meets people where they are.
